This a first for me, and my normally healthy horse. She is such a baby...Yesterday wouldn't let me touch , but today will let me rub the areas gently. I have gotten the areas all clean and dry and applied wonder dust. She is in the barn and not happy. It is so wet and muddy here in northern NY. I sure hope it stops raining and dries out a little. It would be much healthier for everyone. TIA, Sherry ========== Harmych Family ====== To: equinerescue@imagicomm.com From: Breezyd23@aol.com Subject: Re: EQ-ResQ: Scratches Date: Tue, 23 May 2000 22:55:50 EDT Hi, I have had reallly good luck with Desitin diaper rash ointment. Be sure to apply to a clean DRY foot. It cleared up my quarter horse's feet in only a couple of days. debbie Collins ========== Breezyd23@aol.com ====== To: equinerescue@imagicomm.com From: Pixin@aol.com Subject: Re: EQ-ResQ: Scratches Date: Tue, 23 May 2000 23:05:50 EDT I tryed a Zinc cream, (Walgreens brand) and it seemed to help. Try Blue Coat, it works wonders on any abrasion. Also the only thing that helps my mare's scratches were iodine baths. An Iodine scrub diluted with warm/hot water, 2 iodine to 1 water. I was told to do this once a day for a week. Is there anywhere else she can be put out, a dried area? Grass pasture? Hope this helps!
